Why choose the UK?

UK residency or citizenship offers investors world-class exclusive benefits:

  • Integration into a multicultural society represented by large cultural and ethnic communities.

  • Excellent education level, with an extensive network of public and private schools, and more than 150 universities and higher education institutions.

  • World-class free medical care.

  • G8 member country.

  • Unrivalled financial and commercial centre (London).

  • Providing an attractive tax regime for high net worth non-UK resident investors.

  • The freedom of travel and security enjoyed by a British passport.

UK Citizenship by Investment Qualifications

The UK Investment Citizenship Program, offered by our joint venture with a UK-authorized financial institution, is a three-tier system that allows those who invest at a higher level to obtain residency more quickly. To qualify for the program, applicants must fulfill one of the investment options in addition to meeting the following conditions:

  • Maintain and meet the living expenses of yourself and your dependents without employment (except when you are self-employed or run a business).

  • Maintain the UK as your primary home. Investors need to spend more than half of their time in the UK (more than 6 months in 12 months) to maintain visa status.

UK investment options

Applicants must invest no less than 75% of the required investment amount in actively traded UK-registered companies in the form of UK government bonds, equity or loan capital. The remaining 25% must be invested in the UK, either by purchasing assets or depositing funds in a UK-regulated financial institution.

As shown in the table below, the higher the investment amount (and the required personal net worth), the quicker the applicant will be granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

Questions and Answers

FAQ 1: I would like to apply as an investor together with my spouse and children. If I feel that I cannot meet the residency requirements, can my spouse be the principal applicant for the Tier 1 Investor application?

Yes, even if the assets are held in one person’s name or jointly, they are considered marital property and can therefore be used for the purpose of the application. It is important to note that if you and your family are not permanently resident in the UK when entering the immigration process, you may not be granted indefinite leave to remain for your children and only one parent will be eligible to apply for immigration.

FAQ 2: If my children are over 18 years old and we are eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain, can they be included in the application?

FAQ 3: Do UK investors have to undergo medical examinations like other countries require?
