Generally, the purpose of application is to visit family, friends or for social purposes, such as participating in cultural activities, volunteer activities or religious activities. Eligibility requirements for a Long Term Visitor Visa (LTVP) include:
Foreign spouse of a Malaysian citizen.
● Foreigners who want to seek medical treatment in Malaysia (one additional companion is allowed).
● Dependents of foreign employment visa (EP) holders, including:
– Legal spouse
– Children over 21 years old (unmarried)
– Parents or in-laws
Dependents of Employment Visa (EP) holders holding long-term visit visas are not allowed to be employed and work in Malaysia. If they wish to work in Malaysia, the visa holder must apply for an Employment Visa (EP) separately and follow the necessary application procedures.
