Determine the financial year end

In Malaysia, a financial year refers to a company's accounting period, i.e. the period for which the profit and loss account and balance sheet are prepared. This is the period for which any financial statements of a company are made up (regardless of whether the period is a year-long one). The financial year of a newly incorporated company can be any date, as long as it is within 18 months of the date of incorporation. Furthermore, the decision of when to end the company's first financial year (or any change in the financial year end period thereafter) is entirely at the discretion of your company.
