Nutrizu deep sea water originates from a depth of 2,500m along the ‘ocean conveyor belt’ from the Sagami Gulf and is drawn from a depth of 510 meters below the Pacific Ocean off the east of Izu Oshima at the gust area of the ‘Ocean Conveyor Belt’. Izu Oshima is the largest island of a cluster of 7 islands 120 kilometers south of Tokyo. It is a volcanic zone of Mt. Fuji. Therefore, the sea water at this area is rich in minerals. Nutrizu deep sea water is extracted through the process of desalination by electrodialysis and reverse osmosis to remove the suspended solids and most of the salts. |
